Started with a laptop, ended up doing marketing.
Back in school, watching people get real work done on a laptop felt like magic to me. That curiosity is basically why I ended up in this field.
I picked BSc IT for my degree, but somewhere in college I realized I cared more about the creative and strategy side than the coding side. Digital marketing fit naturally from there. I did internships, took on freelance work for small local businesses, and eventually got serious about performance marketing — the part where you can actually watch the numbers move because of what you did.
From my first year of college, I also taught part time: English for classes 9 and 10, then economics for 11 and 12. Teaching a subject I'd had to self-learn first is probably where my communication skills actually came from.
Today I work as a Senior Performance Marketing Executive, I'm doing an MBA in Marketing Management on the side, and I still keep landing pages and a bit of WordPress in my toolkit — a habit left over from those BSc IT days.
